Kobo is about alcohol. You must be of legal drinking age where you live to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private and for everything that happens under your account.
We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. This is the rule everything else in Kobo is built around. You must not post, share, tag people in, or send:
This applies to every part of Kobo where you can add something: tasting notes, photos, comments, usernames, display names, bios, and the people you tag.
Misusing the report feature to target someone who has done nothing wrong is itself abusive behaviour.
You own what you post. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute it inside Kobo according to the visibility you chose, so the service can work. Wine details you correct or add become part of the shared catalogue without your name attached. You confirm you have the right to post everything you post.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we shut Kobo down. Deleting or losing your account removes your tastings, photos, rankings, and social connections.
Kobo is a journal, not a shop or a source of expert advice. Wine details are read from labels and public sources and may be wrong. Scores and rankings are personal opinions. Nothing in Kobo is medical or legal advice. Please drink responsibly.
Kobo is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features at any time. We will post changes to these terms here, update the effective date, and ask you to accept material changes in the app before you continue.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kobo, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us to use Kobo, which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we are based. Disputes will be handled in the courts there, unless your local law gives you the right to something else.
